Footsteps

I received an interesting account from a couple who live in Alberton, Gauteng.

The couple's bedroom is at the end of a long passage and the bedroom door is closed each night, as is the security door at the beginning of the passage, which leads off the kitchen. For years now, the couple have reported hearing footsteps walking up the passage, that cease just outside the bedroom door. It seems the steps are hard and unmistakable.
As they live in the house alone and the security door is locked when they turn in, a human origin can easily be discounted. Luckily for them, this is not a frequent event.

Further to this, they have on occasion, heard activity in the kitchen. As though somebody was busy with crockery. Upon investigation, nothing is out of place, nor is there anybody there.

They do not report feeling frightened of either of these though.
